A unique plant and creative experience located in Richmond, California, Emerald Fog was created with a simple vision: to build more than a plant shop—to create a welcoming community space where people can slow down, get creative, connect with others, and bring a little more nature into their lives.
At Emerald Fog, customers can explore a curated selection of plants, succulents, terrariums, home décor, gifts, and unique botanical pieces. Their Terrarium Bar allows guests to design their own miniature worlds, choosing from a variety of plants, stones, moss, crystals, decorative elements, and beautiful vessels.
They also host creative workshops and events for adults, children, families, and groups. From Sip & Plant and Paint & Plant events to private parties, girls’ nights, team-building activities, and celebrations, there is always something new happening at Emerald Fog. And they are especially proud to offer a free kids’ workshop once a month, giving local children an opportunity to explore creativity, nature, and hands-on learning in a fun and welcoming environment.
Emerald Fog was founded by Rebecca Castle, born and raised in San Francisco. Calling the East Bay home for more than 20 years, Rebecca has also been a longtime member of the local community, spending more than 10 years working at Rolling Hills Memorial Park. Her deep roots in the Bay Area inspired her to create Emerald Fog as more than a storefront—a place where neighbors can gather; local artists and makers can be celebrated, and families and friends can create memories together. One of her favorite things about the shop is seeing people who may not consider themselves “plant people” discover how much fun creating with nature can be. Castle believes creativity is for everyone, and her goal is to make every visit feel welcoming, inspiring, and a little bit magical.
