The Richmond Chamber is expanding its reach beyond city limits, forging connections with organizations, leaders, and opportunities across the Bay Area. This work is part of a broader effort to position Richmond within the region’s economic landscape, benefiting the city as a whole with an eye toward deepening Richmond’s presence across the greater Bay Area and elevating the city on a broader regional stage.
Richmond brings real strengths to that regional conversation. Its waterfront and marina, working port, and industrial and manufacturing base make it a distinct player in the Bay Area economy, while BART access and proximity to San Francisco, the East Bay, and the North Bay via the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge give it a natural connection point across the region. Those assets make Richmond a compelling partner as regional business ties continue to grow. Richmond’s small businesses add to that appeal as well, with local venues, restaurants, and other businesses giving regional partners good reason to visit and do business in Richmond.
Much of this work translates into direct opportunities for members. That includes joint Mega Mixers with chambers and organizations throughout Contra Costa and Alameda counties, developing relationships with the San Jose and San Francisco chambers, and collaborating with the City of Richmond and the EDC on shared regional initiatives.
