Join the West Contra Costa YMCA on Friday, May 10th from 4pm to 6pm, at 263 S. 20th Street, Richmond, for their Renaming Celebration. The Program and Dedication will begin at 5pm.

The E M Downer Family and Mechanics Bank have for generations been invested in helping local non-profits grow and prosper. In 1993, Mechanics Bank asked the YMCA and Youth Service Bureau to start providing services at the “new” Coronado Community Center. In 1995, the building was gifted to the Y. In recognition of E M Downer III continuing the philanthropic legacy of the Downer Family and in celebration of the Y’s 20 years of providing services at the building, the building will be renamed “E M Downer Family YMCA.” Please join in our celebration of family and community.
