Letter from the Chair of Richmond Business PAC

Letter from the chair of Richmond Business PAC
The decision to reinstate the Richmond Business PAC was to provide a unified voice for Richmond businesses to educate and advocate on behalf of their employees and our neighbors in the community on important issues that affect all of us in Richmond.

As we’ve spoken up on public safety, economic development, and actual fair taxes, we have become targets with claims of dark money and Chevron contributions. Chevron has not contributed to this PAC.

We are proud of the small businesses efforts to provide a unified voice during this election season. Unfortunately, many of the candidates we have not supported ignore the concerns of small businesses and blame “big business” instead of discussing the issues.

Reduction of police staff, homelessness, and unfair taxes on businesses have impacted families and businesses in Richmond. Jobs are being lost, businesses are leaving, and police staff is insufficient to address safety concerns.

Richmond businesses employ Richmond residents. Richmond employees and families are negatively impacted when our businesses are ignored and targeted. This is why we continue to advocate.
