The 1942 Ford Firetruck has returned

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce with the Richmond Museum Association proudly welcomed the arrival of the 1942 Ford Open Cab Firetruck that was built and used by the Ford Motor Company for Kaiser at the Richmond Shipyard No.3 during the home front effort. The firetruck was discovered in Spanish Fork, Utah and after the funding and efforts of so many, has been transported back to Richmond’s Shipyard No. 3 where it originated. Swing by to view this special artifact of Richmond’s history.

Thank you to all who donated and supported this project. Special thanks to Anthony D’Ambrosio of Potenza Transport, Richmond Chamber of Commerce’s Think Local First email campaign, Richmond Museum of History and all firetruck and Richmond history lovers.
