Shields Richmond Nursing Center is pleased to announce the opening of our new Asian Program, located in a dedicated unit and offering a comprehensive range of skilled nursing and rehabilitative services sensitive to the cultural, linguistic, and dietary needs of the Asian community. Our Asian unit is staffed by caring bilingual nurses who care for our residents and provide support for their families. We recognize that there are distinct language and cultural challenges that a native Chinese language speaker may face in a skilled nursing setting. We offer a family-friendly, familiar environment with culturally sensitive care, traditional foods, accommodating schedules, adherence to traditional customs, in comfortable surroundings without language barriers.
