Community Walk Explores Nature in Richmond

An invitation from Supervisor John Gioia, District One, Contra Costa County

Screen Shot 2014-03-26 at 9.59.50 AMI hope you’ll join me for this fun community nature walk, which goes from different points in central Richmond to the Miller Knox Regional Shoreline.

Lunch, Zumba, games, raffles and water bottles are all included in this free annual event, which is organized by numerous organizations and agencies including Contra Costa Health Services. A bus will take you back to the starting point at the end of the festivities.

What a great way to celebrate spring!

WHAT: Walk to Nature; free lunch and water bottles, games and raffles.

WHEN: Saturday, March 29, 9 a.m. at the Richmond Civic Center (403 Civic Center Plaza), or 9:30 a.m. at the Richmond Greenway at 6th Street and Ohio Avenue. Arrival at Miller Knox around 11 a.m. Bus rides back go from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
