Building a Stronger, Safer, More Prepared Richmond Community

Over 20 local organizations will be on-hand to provide information on safety preparedness at the Richmond Preparedness Expo on Saturday, November 17th. The expo will be held from 10am to 3pm at the Craneway Pavilion. The first 1,000 adults (ages 18 and over) will receive free disaster kits. Bring your family and friends and join us for a day of fun and safety skills. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be provided and 20 minute workshops* will be given on excellent topics such as:

  • Understanding and preparing for Shelter in Place orders
  • Understanding the Community Warning System
  • How to prepare for emergencies
  • How to be prepared for an emergency using public transportation
  • Asthma education preparedness

*Workshops will have translations available in Spanish and Laotian
