CEO and President Jacqueline Majors, has over 20 years of executive administrative and event coordination background with major corporations and a variety of small businesses.
Vice President, Tom Peters, served as a U.S. Marine Corps correspondent in Vietnam. He has over 40 years in public affairs and communication media with CBS News, NBC News, Westinghouse (Group W) Broadcasting-WJZ-TV, ABC-TV, and Metro-media Broadcaster. He is currently the president emeritus of the Los Angeles Chapter United States Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association.

2012 Award Winner: Zoe's Cookies & Other Delights
Zoe's Cookies and Other Delights is a wholesale bakery servicing the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since 1983 with outstanding baked cookies, brownies, and fruit bars. We also sell frozen cookie dough pucks, scone dough pucks and will soon be offering our brownies and fruit bars in frozen ready to bake quarter sheet boxes. We sell to corporate cafeterias, food service management companies, catering companies, grocery stores, universities, cafes, delis, coffee shops, performing arts venues, and more. We have a fundraising program that offers 3 pound tubs of cookie dough for schools and athletic organizations.
Our fleet of vans and drivers make most of our deliveries, UPS is utilized for customers outside of our regular delivery routes, and frozen carriers transport pallets of our frozen dough to customers requiring large quantities. As a small company we still have great flexibility in meeting the needs of our customers that larger organizations are not able to accommodate.

2011 Award Winner: Park Florist
Park Florist has been proudly serving the East Bay Area since 1911. We are family owned and operated with three locations serving the Richmond, Martinez, and San Pablo area.
After Migrating here from Italy in 1898, the Perata family settled near South San Francisco and began growing fresh flowers and vegetables and selling them in the surrounding community. The next generation continued the family's green thumb tradition, focusing on the flower market. Frank and Olive Perata specialized in personalized floral arrangements for special occasions throughout the Bay Area.
In 1942, the Peratas decided to purchase an established retail flower shop in Richmond that had been operated by the Katayanagi family since 1911. Under the management of the Peratas, Park Florist sold locally grown flowers which they hand-selected and brought to the store each morning before sunrise from nurseries in Pinole, Antioch and Lafayette.
Frank and Olive had two sons who followed in their footsteps. Bob and Lloyd Perata's concern for the family business was keeping in step with the changing trends in the flower market. After opening stores in Martinez and San Pablo, they expanded into the wholesale market, and eventually offered online ordering. Active in the family business well into their 90s, Olive passed away in 2000, and Frank in 2001. "They provided a lot of moral support to us," says Bob.
Over one hundred years after Park Florist opened it's doors, it is still the most fragrant and colorful store in town. Although very few flowers are now grown locally, the Peratas still offer only the freshest product. While most of us are sleeping, California and imported flowers are cut and transported directly from growers to Park Florist each day, insuring every customer the ultimate floral experience.

2010 Award Winner: Catahoula Coffee
Catahoula Coffee is Bay Area’s award-winning roastery. Our quality fair-trade coffee supports farmers and environmental sustainability. We are named after my favorite breed of dog. The coffee bags and our logo bear the image of Mocha, my own pet catahoula.
Independent and local, we are a cozy, café in the North and East neighborhood of Richmond, California. We provide more than a high end coffee at a moderate price. We are about bringing people together and community. Not the “Third Community” liquid culture of Starbucks, but an authentically local flavor where people from all walks of life, Richmond and surrounding areas gather.
We host neighborhood events — farmers markets, car shows, art fairs, musical performances — pouring free Java for communal gatherings such as Tent Cities and neighborhood council meetings. We donate coffee for fundraising auctions to help schools and local charities.

Jan and Jerry Feagley have been serving the West Contra Costa County Area for over forty years and have devoted their lives to making the ‘Upper East Bay’ the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
